Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows broke the stained-glass ceiling, becoming the first African American woman to head a diocese of the Episcopal Church worldwide. It is our pleasure to announce that Bishop Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows will be giving a talk on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Indianapolis Propylaeum. The Indianapolis Propylaeum presents the Marilyn K. Glick Women's Enrichment Series, a multi-part celebration of women in central Indiana. Each event begins at 5:00 for conversation, drinks, and hors d’oeuvres. Lectures begin at 6:00. VIP tickets include a Meet and Greet reception with the Bishop, open bar, and reserved seating during the presentation. General Admission Tickets include a reception with snacks and a cash bar. The Propylaeum was founded in 1888 by May Wright Sewall. The historic Victorian-style three-story mansion at 1410 North Delaware Street, Indianapolis, home of the Propylaeum, is on the National Registry of Historic Places. It provides a cozy setting to get to know Bishop Jennifer and to hear the journey that brought her to lead the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis. Come hear what the Bishop does for rest, sanctuary and fun (it includes the kitchen and the running trail). In addition to her ministry, listen to how she embraces life with yoga, long-distance running, tennis and triathlon training.
